    Application & Usage

    Diagnostic equipment
    In equipment such as ultrasound diagnostic equipment, medical-grade silicone O-rings are used to seal the connection between the probe and the main body of the equipment. Because the ultrasound probe needs to be plugged in and out frequently, the O-ring can prevent external dust, liquids and other contaminants from entering the equipment, thereby protecting the electronic components and internal structure of the equipment. At the same time, it can also ensure the stability of signal transmission between the probe and the equipment, avoiding the impact of poor contact on the diagnosis results.

    Therapeutic equipment
    Take medical laser treatment equipment as an example, silicone O-rings are used to seal around the optical window of the laser emitting device. This is because laser equipment has extremely high requirements for the sealing of the optical path. Any tiny dust particles entering the optical path may affect the transmission and focusing of the laser, thereby affecting the treatment effect. O-rings can effectively block dust and water vapor to ensure the normal operation of the optical system of the laser equipment.

    In some small physical therapy equipment, such as transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) devices, silicone O-rings are used to seal the gap between the battery compartment and the device casing. This can prevent sweat, liquids, etc. from entering the equipment, avoid faults such as short circuits, and extend the service life of the equipment.

    Surgical instruments
    For some surgical instruments with moving parts, such as electric bone drills, silicone O-rings are used to seal the interface between the motor and the housing. It can prevent blood, tissue fluid and other liquids from entering the motor to avoid damage to the motor, and also prevent the motor from leaking electricity and causing safety hazards to patients and medical staff.

    In minimally invasive surgical instruments such as laparoscopes, silicone O-rings are used to seal the channel interface of the instrument. These instruments usually have multiple channels for inserting surgical tools, delivering gas, etc. O-rings can ensure the sealing of the channel, maintain the stability of the air pressure in the abdominal cavity, and prevent the backflow of fluid during surgery, ensuring the smooth progress of the operation.

    Medical monitoring equipment
    For equipment such as sphygmomanometers, silicone O-rings are used to seal the connection between the cuff and the pressure sensor. It can ensure that the pressure in the cuff can be accurately transmitted to the sensor during the blood pressure measurement process, and prevent air leakage, thereby improving the accuracy of blood pressure measurement.

    In multi-parameter monitors, silicone O-rings are used to seal the interfaces of various sensors (such as ECG, blood oxygen and other sensors).     For the nebulizer in some respiratory therapy equipment, the silicone O-ring is used to seal the interface between the nebulizer's medicine cup and the nebulizer device. This can prevent drug leakage and ensure that the nebulized drug can be smoothly inhaled by the patient, improving the treatment effect.
